Bought a road/mountain hybrid bike on Friday. Bought it new( one year free tune ups from Galaxy Bicycles in San Marcos, Texas) Giant “Roam” XL frame.
My goal was to do 75+ miles a week.
I’ll get there, but not this week, lol.

Have to take it in for new bike tune up next week and I was hoping to get a bunch of miles on it to break some stuff in. Total miles since Friday afternoon, 15, ha.
I’ll get there. Just won’t be as quick as I thought.

    That's his son, I believe.
Very cool. I will NOT even be attempting that ride.

I will be pretty happy if I can get up to 20 miles a day. Add that every other day to my current health routine and I will be happy with it. There is a paved 8 mile hike/bike trail near Bergstrom Airport I am going to check out this week

Wichita Falls does the Hotter Than Hell every summer. 100 miles in the heat. I love bikes but at my age a fall would probably kill me. Hope they hold the race this summer. Be careful!

I went from 337lbs down to 195 a few years ago. All diet and exercise. Deliberately gained up to 215 because I am stronger at that weight and feel better.

When I was running a lot a couple of years ago I added a bicycle to ride on my weekends. My legs held out much better than my ass. I ended up with both a Gel seat and Gel riding shorts and pants

    Out here by the lake!
When I was riding I would do 20 miles after work along the bayou. I did some night riding in the summer because of the heat. Herman park @ night was homeless zombies acting like Yogi & BuBu bears hitting thetrash cans. I rode in traffic to get to the trails & that was why I gave up riding. Cars in the medical center really never see bicycles.
