    Understood.

I suspect the WRA part was a "Somebody said" situation, and what the OP saw was actually one of these, the officer mentioned being long time military.

    Just speculatin'.

I make no claims of being an expert on 1911's, I'm just an enthusiast of the platform for may years, and an owner and shooter of them for many years as well. Nothing I have read shows that WRA ever made a 1911 at any time that I have found. He specifically mentioned WRA.

The M15 GO 1911's are very special, and would be considered almost rare 1911's considering the conditions in which they were presented, and the number of them built. I seriously doubt anyone will ever see one of the M15's ever listed for sale anywhere.

I figured out the Colt 1911 is one of the best handguns ever

I willl in part agree but there are many 1911 platforms that are really good. 1911 is my all time favorite but i do not like double stacks and 9 rounds just is not enough sometimes.

IMO, And I won't say best, but of all the 22 semi-auto pistols I have shot over the years, the Ruger Mark series is definitely one of the better designs on the market. Been around since 1949, and has gone through some changes since, but essentially the same pistol for the most part.
