If tray size is an issue I flip the primer package over and slowly slide the sleeve off with that row over the widest part of the tray.

You could try a funnel too.
Metal funnel. Don't risk static discharge by using a polymer funnel.

Would that be because of having two pieces of polymer? The tray on most primers is polymer.
It is, but it might have carbon in it...since its made for primer use.

Every cheap plastic funnel I have ever handled is highly statically active...

Gotcha. I was just curious thinking of all the plastic in powder and primer handling.

I got the Lee and started with my first 100. Early on I had 2 like this.

I guess I started holding it at the right angle and it went smoothly the rest of the way.

I dont know. I've got a couple of live rounds with inverted primers. I'm not sure what to do.
    I think I'll chunk them.
Pull the bullet, dump the powder, and slowly push the primer out like would deprime any case.

Eyes and ears should be worn any time you're reloading, so that should be a given.

Try to move any flammables out of reach of the primer flash in case it does light off. As long as you push slow it should slide right out.

I'm with Vaq - chunk them. I've had a couple of primers go in cattywhompus - straight to the trash.

+1 slow and easy. If it doesn't come easy, stop and pitch it.

I have the RCBS hand primer - only hand primer I have used and seems to work well. I have a Lee Loadmaster, and the priming setup on it is flimsy, complicated, unreliable, and a cheap piece of junk. Get me wound up and I'll tell you how I really feel about it.
