Best Ammo for a Ruger 10/22

Is this the Winchester White Box "Western"? No way, impossible. This has to be some sort of nightmare or cruel joke. I can't get through 30 rounds of that stuff before my rifle spits it back at me. The previous 29 rounds would dust no better than 1.5 moa @ 50.

Maybe match barrels hate the stuff.....yeah that's it.... that's the ticket.

Lapua makes 22LR ammo?

They make some of the best 22lr ammo money can buy.

I was shocked by some of the results too... He includes links to the pics of targets he shot all the groups. Pretty impressive testing. As you well know, every 22 is different in its preference for ammo.

For the most expensive ammo they make. They also make Center-X which is $91 for 500 rounds and is at the top of almost every one of the lists I cited earlier.

You can get Wolf Match Target for $50 per 500 at Midway... the way I shoot I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two.

All of my 10-22's do best with Winchester Dyna Point Bulk-Pack ammo.

Just found some more on sale today at Dick's for $21.99.

Only bought one box ... regret I did not buy more!

One rifle, a 10-22T with a Nikon 3-9 x 30 scope, consistently puts every round inside a circle the size of a dime at 50 yards.

Have not yet tried the Wolf Match Target I bought at Cabela's two weeks ago.

I didn't want to pay $45 for 1000 rounds of Win T22 at Academy.

Maybe I need to think about new rounds.

Well I "bit the bullet" today and bought some nice Lapua Center-X and SK Standard Plus 22lr Ammo... I'll report back for results(though probably in a different thread since I wont be running it out of a 10/22).

believe it or not mine eats federal bulk ammo without a jam. I have the steel lips mag and keep the gun clean and well lubed thought

Mine too, It is just dirty as hell.
