Want to sell Gerber LMF 2 Tac Knife Recon w/Sheath and leg straps, and box. Throwing in the belt cutter blade and sheath for when your Blackhawk goes down hard and you have to get out quick. Got it for Christmas many years ago but never carried it , I just wasn't tactical enough. $100USD FTF in the western DFW megaplex or add $15 priority mail.

What steel is the LMF 2 made of?

420HC, according to Gerber. It'll take a good edge and not be brittle. Only downside is edge retention isn't the best, so if you use it, you'll need to resharpen more frequently than the stainless "super steels" like 20CV, S35VN, Elmax, and the like.

Any non-stainless will have issues with rust/staining if you use it for game or food prep, but the PVD coating on the LMF negates that to a large degree.
