These two eagles were fishing on my lake. I saw one dive to attempt to catch a fish but it missed. They are not always successful.

I'm eager to see Bald Eagles & Ospreys around my new digs.

The eagles come and go on my lake. It's only 10 acres of water. We see them every couple of weeks all winter. I've only seen an osprey on rare occasions. The coolest thing I've seen on the lake was a golden eagle catch a catfish. They are bigger than the bald eagles.

    Out here by the lake!
Armand Bayou Nature Center use to be a great place to see Osprey & eagles. I have not been to it in many years so I can't say if install like it was back then.

Biggest bird of prey I ever go close to was a California Condor that the falconer @ the renfest was rehabbing. Some of the more interesting people I meet over the years I worked it.

Went up to Lake Buchanan once to see them on the Vanishing Texas River Cruise.

Never seen one in the wild.
    Might never.
There was a nesting pair for several years on TX29 where it parallels the Llano river between Buchannan Dam & Llano. Hiway Dept. built a roadside stop for photographers & lookie-loos. Haven't seen 'em in a while. This pic is from 2006.
