(512) Brewing has a Pecan Porter that you can find at some bars in Austin. If you spy it ... man it is quite possibly one of the best beers I've had, and I've probably tried over a hundred different beers.

Incredibly fresh (brewed in Austin), and incredibly tasty. I used to drink alot of Young's Oatmeal Stout, and eventually you simply could not find it. Now I've found my new favorite "heavy".

It's like Spaten Optimator meets Guiness with a roasty pecan flavor.

HEB will stock anything you ask for. I chewed them a good one a long time ago for not having Elgin Sausage and they started stocking it.
Beer, I notices a broad selection of it in there. One time I got some pumpkin ale, pretty tasty stuff.
Ask the HEB beer guy about it. I'll bet they will get some. "Might have to chew their asses out though".

Was in Austin last weekend for SXSW and they had 512 on tap at 'The Red Eyed Fly'. Amazing! I already miss it back in Dallas

Actually...just remembered; The Gingerman Pub has just about everything in Dallas. - The Ginger Man ? An American pub in Dallas, Texas

Check out their beer list. They have a wall with something like 200 taps. Great place.

They don't really bottle it ... tap only. They'll do a special double pecan porter in bottles, but it lasts a matter of minutes before it's gone.
