Her republican challenger, Dalia al-Aqidi, is also muslim. The difference is, Dalia considers herself as American, and wants policies that puts America first, and doesn't like that Omar uses race or religion to push an agenda.

I don't know how her voter base thinks, hopefully she's not the only one that came to American looking to adopt the American way of life. After listening to Dalia speak on a few videos, I believe Dalia, after growing up under the Saddam Hussein regime, saw the American way of life as dream life. People like Omar Ilhan wants to take that way of life away.
