    I’ll be adding a range report to this thread too in regards to a marlin trapper.

    So far the qc is acceptable. Everything is straight and the furniture is blended well with the receiver. Parts look fine.

    As for machining marks im not gonna bitch about this because it doesn’t matter. It’s superficial shit. The action is smooth. It’s just my background that I will notice they definitely had a few spots where the machine operator wasn’t too worried about qc. Some chatter and smearing marks. Again it’s inside the receiver and it doesn’t matter. I get it. They push these things out as fast as they can and a guy can’t spend all his time on toolwear and coolant.

    Other than that I really like this gun. i like the shorter barrel and sights. The sights remind me of the fast sight picture I get with my older mini14. I naturally feel at home with the front blade style sight.

    this is night and day better than the 44 mag pos I had.
