I use a CATM4 Tool which unfortunately isn't made anymore but I like it quite a bit. I recommend buying one if you find it for sale.

I've been using the one that Botach sells. The KZ-CRT. It works pretty well.

Why would you shoot your carbon scraper?

Don't bother. The carbon helps seal the gas, and unless you are shooting hundreds of thousands of rounds in FA daily, carbon buildup will never be an issue.

Lube it up and shoot

Bolt scrapper. Allows you to scrape carbon off the back of the bolt without damaging the bolt itself.

Scraping a bolt to get it USMC clean is not needed in normal life. The only reason the Marines do that is to keep junior Marines busy.

I have a Real Avid AR-15 scraper tool. I had bought it for $10 off Amazon but that was years ago. It works great, though it's for the BCG specifically. A dental pick is what I use for the chamber.

I was turning in my weapon to the armory after 6 days on duty and couldn't wait to be off a few days
The weapon had to be acceptable to the armory and they told me there was enough dirt in there to grow potatoes
I'll never forget that lol
