I was using a Voip home phone before moving to Texas, nothing but problems, phone service was down several times a month. Just was a PITA IMO.

I see no reason for a Voip phone since I have a cell and can also use Skype if I want to go Voip, just one less bill I need, If I need to call a phone number from skype it cost just pennies, but skype to skype is free. Google voice is also now available, you might want to check that out.

I'm on my fourth year of the Comcast triple play, (phone, Internet, cable TV) and I have NO gripe at all with any of it.

Sound quality is excellent, never any static. The fact I have no long distance charges makes it a fantastic deal. I'm not sure how it works but the other day during a storm I lost TV signal for a few minutes but the phone still worked.

I cannot say one negative thing about the VOIP service.

ive set it up about 50 times in the past
everyone likes comcast and verizon business offers it too
we have one phone on comcast right now but its set up much different then a typical house phone
and its been great since ive installed it and set it up

Thanks for the input. I am going to give it a try. I have been happy with the Comcast broadband, which consistently goves me 30 Mbps down/3Mbps up speed. Just tested and it went 33.66 and 3.77.
