My buddy has one. There are side marker lights that are installed on the fender flares. When he leaves his ignition on, to listen to a movie at the drive in, these lights stay lit up. He has to get out and put tape over them. I told him that I bet a tuner could change that setting.

But than I got to thinking, I wonder if there is any kinda sequence he can do without a tuner.

Let me do some asking around. I *think* that’s modifiable using FORScan.

Need a little additional info. I assume the condition is vehicle is in ACC mode.

Is it only that the exterior clearance lights on the grille and fender flares are on or is it that parking + clearance and bed light is on?

Also, what behavior are the interior lights defaulting to?

Do the lights turn off after 10mins?

Do the lights stay on if the headlight switch is set to off and not ‘A’/auto?

Tell him to stay home and watch VHSs and stop bothering others.

Would it be easier to run a direct lead to audio sys? I had truck that way once upon a time and liked *no key* tunes. Just don't forget to turn it off.

Using FORScan, he’s probably looking to set dark car or silent mode in the BCM. Alternatively, the dealer can do it, but isn’t required to do it.

We have a friend with an F350 dually and his does the same thing, I noticed. They go on when you open a door if it's parked, too. I will ask him what he knows.

If he is on FB or even truck forums he may find someone local to help him out with FORScan.

I don't think it's worth getting FORScan for one little mod but there is a ton of adjustments you can make if you have it.
