I'm lucky enough to have zero hogs and oaks at my hunting patch. However thanks to some new batteries my feeders are spewing out corn like it's going out of style. I dialed them back 2 weeks ago but I'm hoping for a good opening weekend to avoid a costly corn investment. At $10/40 or 12.50/50 lbs it's going to add up in a hurry. Overall it's a good 20% increase in just one year.

Hopefully the calves don't get a taste for it or I'm up shit creek!

That's how my feeders looked around Pearsall years ago. I got out of a tripod one night and there was about 40 of them cleaning house. My buddy's family had a trapper and we would shoot a few regularly and it hardly put a dent in the population.
