I’ll get criticized for being too commercial and too mainstream but I ate at the Rudy’s in Selma today.

The wet brisket I ordered was just right.
Lotsa onions and pickles on plain white bread.

    Simple. Good. Convenient.

The creamed corn went straight to my coronaries!!!

Nothing wrong with Rudy's. I eat there regularly. THat RUdy's chop is dang good stuff.

Yes, and I completely forgot about it until just now. It's called The Big Bibb and it's on Austin Highway. Bring your CHL for the drive. The food is amazing though.

Thanks for the heads up. A friend and I went there for lunch today and enjoyed it. I had the spicy sausage (very good) and ribs. The ribs were tender and moist and had a lot more meat than the ribs at Two Brothers. My friend had brisket and it looked really good. He said it was.

For those in the Whitney area, there is a new BBQ place in a trailer. My brother in law told me about it and said it was pretty awesome. Not exactly sure where its at, but Whitney is pretty small.

There used to be a place out on the Austin Hwy called the Bun and Barrel, had great brisket. I wonder if it's still there. I'm talking about 40-50 years ago.
