any private Ranges in the hill country?

Howdy,

i'm part of a group from the Ruger forum that meets every spring here in the Hill country for a weekend of sight seeing and shooting, for the past five years we have been meeting in Fredericksburg but unfortunately we lost access to our Gun Range When the owner sold it.

we are currently looking for a new place to shoot and we were wondering if anyone knew of a private range or just some land we can rent for a weekend where we can shoot, looking for something in or around the Fredericksburg, Johnson city, Kerrville areas

last year there were around 20 people in our group and will probably be the same this year, we shoot both Rifles and Pistols. we are all very safe and Honest shooters and many are retired Military and law enforcement.

Their web sit is under construction so I don't know if they are still shooting in the same place.

Have you considered "Cedar Ridge" in Bulverde on FM 1863?

A little "up tight" at first, but loosens up over time as they get to know you.

I have looked there but I've heard way to many bad reviews, since this is a vacation for most of the members going we want it as fun as possible. I have heard some good things about the Dietz Range above new Braunfels so if things don't work out with John at the Texas Marksmanship Academy we'll probably have to go there.
