Cool. Curious to see if it can hold up to the abuse.

While I have a great intrest in 3D printing and have at least a dozen ideas I want to try, but anymore I just dont have the energy to learn how to CAD.

Yeah, it’s definitely something you need to be interested in to sit down and learn. I figure, the more systems I’m familiar with the better since it’s what pays the bills.

For simple stuff TinkerCAD or maybe even Google SketchUp (if still out there) might be easy to pick up without feeling like you’re wearing a boat anchor on your free time.

Love my Ender 3. Have the BTT w/new quiet drivers, etc.

I got it simply to experiment. Ended up printing a ton of display mounts, and just about every possible thing I could find for my 1050s, and general reloading stuff.

Oh yeah: Carbon fiber reinforced PLA or PETG w/ a 1.0 or larger nozzle is the only way I'd try to print, and use, a firearm part such as a frame or lower, etc. Those wall display mounts, like the ones pictured above, lasted about 2-3 weeks when I printed the first ones in PLA only. Changed to CF reinforced PLA and the test mounts held 15 lbs hanging on them for 4 weeks with no failure or separations. Good enough for me.

Not printing a benchy boat is like not compiling "Hello World" as your first computer program.

My first print was (an attempt) at a Dillon 1050 tool head stand. I don't think I've ever printed a benchy, either. Makes no sense for me to print one- our kids are 21 and 25, and fortunately neither have kidlins of their own, yet.
