I'm not sure how reasonable the price is. It's more than I've ever paid for a gun for sure.If you buy it and decide you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. For a reasonable price of course.

I have re-read this whole thread, and it appears I'm the only one offering her an out if she develops a bad case of buyers remorse.HEY! Get back in line!
Well, since you work at a gun store and are a blood relation to the owner, I'm hoping it's not too much.I'm not sure how reasonable the price is. It's more than I've ever paid for a gun for sure.
Yes, but I am at the counter eyeballing the merchandise. You can't just push me out of the way.I have re-read this whole thread, and it appears I'm the only one offering her an out if she develops a bad case of buyers remorse.
That doesn't sound bad.My price would be $700. The official price is $800. How bad is that?
The most I've ever paid for a gun before is $600, for a Sig P229.
I've heard several owners that liked the AMT Hardballer. I have a Backup 380 that has never fired a magazine without a failure. It was the worse $100 I ever spent on a gun.Don't over pay for it they have a small
Following. And there are better guns for the money. Yeah I had one along with a Back up 45 and 380.
give it to me for free if you dont want it lolLooking for opinions of buying a used AMT Hardballer.

I've already made my first payment. I'll be paying for quite a while. It's more expensive than any gun I've ever bought.
But, I'm starting to have doubts. So, opinions would be appreciated.
Right there with you. I went through several Backups in the '80-90's. I WANTED to work and tried every kind of ammo available at the time - no deal. And carrying one with that little "slide" safety with a chambered round was frightening - even though it had a grip safety.I've heard several owners that liked the AMT Hardballer. I have a Backup 380 that has never fired a magazine without a failure. It was the worse $100 I ever spent on a gun.
Hope yours is much better.
They were originally made with slides and frames made of the same stainless steel which causes the gauling. Stainless guns need the slide and frame to each be made of different series of stainless, or so I’ve heard. I’ve also heard the Hardballers could be made to run if they are greased well with the right grease.never had one, always wanted one. they've always had the reputation of jamming due to the slide galling along the frame. something about the SS slide/frame rails being too soft or ?
