Visiting in NY, you have to show a pistol license to purchase ammo. Bought some ammo at Walmart with my brother, I showed my Texas TLC.

Do they scan or or just ask to see it? I haven’t been to Walmart in years. Academy has never asked for ID. I walk in, grab what I want off the shelf, give them money, and leave.

If by some chance I found myself in a walmart buying ammo, they would not make me show ID. I would make them put the ammo back and walk out the door.

Walmart is a freak show that is best avoided anyway,

As for ammo vending machines, I think I would be kind of suspicious and would be looking for cameras.
