    This was mostly “news to me”, although I did know of an US AAC Officer-PIlot who did desert to the NAZI’S, with an intact P38 Lightning, during the War.

    That's nothing, most are unaware of what was going on in America:

    Nazism was VERY popular in the United States, right up until the Austrian maniac declared war on the United States - ironically, the only time they nazis declared war on anybody.
    The nazis, for whatever reason, were fascinated with George Washington - who was a Semitophile! Of course, 'The Franklin Prophecy' - a gross anti-Semitic fiction - was popular at the time, Franklin was also a Semitophile to the point there are records of him donating to local synagogues and Rabbis spoke at his funeral.
    The nazis then, much like the nutzis today, believe a fictional reality.

    just fyi, there were thousands of American nazis, up until Dec 8, 1941. And just like that they all magically disappeared. Say... wasn't Werner VonBraun learning Chinese"?
