This is an organization that is working to, aside from other things, get the ATF and NFA branch to update their methods and speed up transfers. If you aren't a member and love your suppressors and other NFA gear I would suggest joining.

    American Silencer Association

Take a look at a good video on the subject narrated by Josh Waldron, the CEO of SilencerCo. They recently traveled and met with some members of the politburo, I mean congress, and the folks at the NFA branch in WV.

That was an excellent video! It makes me happy to see some owners/manufacturers doing this. This is EXACTLY what it's going to take to affect any change. Keep up the great work ASA!

Well, they are businesses looking to increase their profits and doing this dovetails nicely with that goal. Doesn't mean that I don't support them wholeheartedly as I'm trying to get my NFA trust set up to go apply for permission from the gubment for a silencer :o

That's capitalism at it's finest, and you can guarantee the same mindset has been behind nearly every great accomplishment, or at least technological advancement in our society. I don't get the impression it's all profit though. Many of those guys genuinely seem to care about affecting 2A improvements.

Yeah who doesn't want profit. Those guys all have families to feed. That said, I have had a lot of contact with the guys from SilencerCo, including Josh. They are great guys who love to go out and shoot as much as possible. They are great examples for the industry.
