    It was time for another Aldi Pork Shoulder roast. They put too much BBQ sauce on them for our taste so, I wash off as much of it as I can and use my own seasoning. These things usually run around 3 pounds and there is nearly zero waste. I just throw it the crock pot and cook until the internal temp hits 205. 205 is just right for pulling it apart.

    Plated up with some slaw and homemade bread. It's so simple and so good. Try one sometime.

    Wash it good. It's pretty salty (@2360mg/lb). I guess I shouldn't be surprised it has so much cholesterol, but that's a bummer for me. Tasty as hell, though.

    Not trying to derail the thread, but it's Aldi related.
    We get this Herbed Salmon from Aldi that is out of this world delicious. It is by far the best fish I have ever tasted in my life.
    My wife picks up some almost every week.
