    Seems like we are talking about newer available models but if you dont mind...Whats the opinion here of Original Romanians?

    I have several Romanian AK variants and love them all, but they are all older models (i.e. WASR-10/63, a SAR-1, PSL-54C and a Draco C). If you can find one at a decent price (decent for today's prices, not several years ago when you could score a WASR for $299), and it passes a basic inspection, I would snag it!

    Depends on the extent to which the "parts kits" were assembled at time of import. Many assembled with new US barrels.

    While true, I've seen more reports of canted sights on foreign assembled AKs than domestic ones. This comes from the fact that commie mil specs allowed quite a bit of canting. So long as the front sight has enough horizontal travel to zero the rifle, it was acceptable. Conversely, things tend to be perfectly straight and very pretty on American AKs, it's durability where they have traditionally been lacking.
