Last air gun post over 2 months ago.
Air guns were a first-love for many of us.
    Still a delight.

My new find as a used "gun" for $120 at a shop last week.

New $199 on sale for $169 on the SIG web site.
    https://www.sigsauer.com/store/sig-mpx-air-rifle-fde.html
    SIG MPX air rifle.

    An SBR of sorts.
That fat stock houses an 88 gm Umarex CO2 cylinder good for about 5.7 billion rounds.

The detachable high capacity magazine holds 30 .177 caliber lead projectiles.
Hypersonic @ 575 feet per second at sea level at 3.14159% relative humidity.
Bench testing documents about 12-15 MOA accuracy. Or worse.

    This thing is fun.
Punches cans as fast as I can pull the trigger.
    Post your fun gun.

I've never had any kind of air gun other than an old Daisey lever action BB gun when I was a kid (way, way back there).

That Sig looks like fun. It would probably kill a milk jug just as dead as my .44 Mag would at a tiny fraction of the ammo cost.

Hmm, let me think about that for a minute. :)

I just recently bought an Umarex 9XP. My SA 177 gave up the ghost. Seals, they're all blown. Haven't shot the 9XP yet, but it's supposed to be very similar to the SA 177. Fits in the same holster and uses the same mag. Shoots steel BBs at about 400 fps. Blow back slide, 19 round magazine.

Trying to find an image. Ah, there it is.

I've been thinking about getting a full auto BB gun. These are really cool. And legal. No stamp needed.

    Love that MP40.

My brother in law had a CO2 gun that he somehow rigged to hook up to an air compressor. That thing would shoot a steam of BBs. It was a blast to shoot.

His dog was in heat, so we sat on the patio with that gun, connected to his air hose from the garage. When the bandit came and jumped a 6' wood fence, there was no aiming. Just pointed the steam of bbs at the dog. Hilarious.

Not exotic like the others here. It was a Valentine's gift from one of my kids.

Bought the Sheridan Silver Streak in 1975. Very powerful and highly accurate. Shoots 5mm (20 Cal) pellets. Still works. It's a shame they don't make them any more. Benjamin bought them out.

I had one. Got in the 70's too.
Lent it to a buddy in about 1995.
Never saw it again after his diagnosis and infirmity and eventual death from multiple myeloma.
    Darn.
I'll always wonder where it is.

If you live in a city you might want to check your city ordinances for air rifle use.

I have a pristine vintage German Beeman R7.
    Smooth shooter.

It has pasted to its side a sticker from the Lubbock police property room.
My son got it confiscated after a neighbor spied him shooting squirrels in his front yard on 24th street and University when he was a Tech undergrad.
Lucky to ever retake possession of it I suppose.

I'll forever leave that sticker there.

I have great memories as a kid with my Model 25 Daisy. It only held 50 bbs but was much more powerful and more accurate than my cousins' lever action BB guns. When I found out they were making them again 7 or 8 years ago, I had to get one. :) It's pretty much identical to the one I had 60 years ago, except for the stock. The original one had a nylon stock.
