...but a chicken wang. We fixin to have a Wang Dang Doodle up in here! Nephew and niece invited some of us over for a cookout supper. I volunteered to bring some wings. Half of em seasoned with Kick'n Chicken and, for the sissies, half seasoned with SPG.

Did you get any smoke or flavor from the wood considering how quickly those grill?

I've used the Kick'n Chicken for years. It's good for people that don't like really hot food. It's spicy but not overpowering. At least, that's my opinion.

Did you get any smoke or flavor from the wood considering how quickly those grill?

That was a chunk of pecan wood in there. Yes, you get some smokey flavor but not a lot.

Weber/Vortex wings are easy and some of the best wings I've had anywhere. These were a big hit with the family and not a one was left. It was suggested that the next time we get together, I bring wings again.

I smoke wings at 225 for about an hour, then finish in the fryer or on the grill at 450+. There’s a ton of smoke in those.

If I have the smoker going at the time, I'll smoke my wings and then grill them before deep frying them, then coating them with my wing sauce, and finishing up in the oven.

I do mine with Knorr Tomatoe Chicken Boullion & either Tony Chachere's or Cavender's Greek Seasoning or a combination. I just put some on to air fry.

A couple of months ago, my wife made her recipe for baked beans, but we cooked them on the smoker instead of the oven. They came out wonderful. Her baked beans are fantastic to start with, but the smoke flavor took them over the top!

I have smoked a fatty, kinda like a bacon wrapped meatloaf.

When I was a younder guy I'd smoke a bacon cheeseburger meat loaf that was really snacking.

I have done a meatloaf on the smoker, wrapped in bacon very similar to that Geezer just posted. It is an excellent way to do a meatloaf.
