I haven't had good luck with Aquila 22 Magnum. I bought a new Kel Tec PMR30 and tested it with a box of Fiocchi 22 win mag. It was really fun to shoot. Next week I shot a box of Hornady 22 win mag personal protection ammo. Really sweet shooting gun. BUT today I attempted to shoot a box of Aquila 22 win mag. I was unable to finish a 30 round magazine due to malfunctions. Of the first 15 rounds 9 of them burst the brass just in front of the primer which stuck in the chamber and would not extract. I was able to push out the burst casing on all but the last one. So I took the gun home and field stripped it in order to remove the burst casing.
I bought 4 boxes of this Aquila for $18 a box plus tax. Totally wasted $82

I wont buy Aguila after shooting regular 22lr. That crap is so dirty & had constant issues ejecting & causing jams.

Two of my long barrel rifles love the Águila 60 gr. SS. It is quiet and accurate, but will tumble in many, if not most, short barrel firearms. My supply is running low.

Nice score for the crooks I guess. Screw them though, hope they are found, arrested, prosecuted and spend time in Mexican prison.
You know that is not going to happen though.

I have to agree with Hoji. Not likely to ever happen.

Pretty hard to arrest, prosecute and convict them, when the the cops, prosecutors and judges are either corrupt, or have been intimidated.

Wow, lucky you weren't hurt. Do you think that was an out of battery blowout? Could that happen if the round was in full battery and would the firing pin hit the brass if it was not in battery. Could this be a Kel-Tec defect?

Since the Aquila incident I have shot eight magazines (over 200 rounds) using Hornady, Fiocchi, and CCI and have not had one malfunction\ with the Kel Tec. I took it to the range today and shot another 50 rounds of CCI with no problems. I'm pretty sure it was the ammo and not the Kel Tec.
