I tend to agree. Demand will have to continue dropping before prices will drop and even then I think with increased input costs for final goods we're going to see higher prices. Ammo inflation this time is probably permanent.

All inflations is permanent, the question is to what degree the inflation is. An 8% y-o-y increase on $1 is $1.08 in y1 and $1.17 in y2. Do the cumulative inflationary costs result in a 200% price increase? That remains to be seen.

Just an email, No more limits on ammo purchases. Must be enough of it sitting on the shelves.

Not surprised. The ammo shelf was as full as I have seen it in 3 years. Like, completely full. High prices, but lots of it including most common rifle calibers.

It's the high prices why it's still there. I only buy sub sonics when I see them. Everything else just hurts

If I want to be raped, I'll go to a gun show. Academy and those at the gun shows can keep their over priced ammo.
I haven't bought any this year and won't until prices drop.

Just left Academy. Looking for 10mm.
They had some Federal HST HP for $40 fvcking dollars for a twenty rd box.
Fvck me. Imma have to start reloading 10mm!
I happen to have a stash of 10mm brass. I picked up all I could find when you let me shoot your guns. I was going to reload it - eventually - for repayment. LOL. I pick up anything brass colored and shiny at the range - until the RO's yell at me. #noshame. Got no .40 cal bullets though. Xtreme had a 15% off last week though and I bought 500 240g heavy plated bullets. Time to make some more .44 mag and .44 special loads. I'll step up the specials next time for you so they're not just mouse-fart loads.
