I'm sure the Norma center-fire ammo is great. After going through at least a dozen types of high end 22 ammo I'm willing to bet you would never make it out of the "rookie" category using that ammo in this competition.

I couldn’t make it out of the “rookie” category with the most expensive high end ammo known to man!

9mm ammo went up at Academy! 50 packs are $21.99 now. They were going for $17.99 for a while. But at $21.99 it's still cheaper than every online retailers and most ranges.

The packaging is plain white now for Federal and Blazer.

Wolf Match Target/Extra ( old Lapua stock) for the .22 win.

Garland Academy not getting much and 9mm is steel or aluminum and prices are too high. They don't have an .22lr except the high priced Norma that they can't seem to sell because they have had some of that for several weeks now.

I've had better luck buying .22lr at Wally World lately. Picked up 3 boxes of 325 rounds Federal Automatch for 5.3 cents a round last week.

The Plano Academy had quite a bit of ammo on the shelf, including 9mm, .40, .223/5.56, and 7.62x39. They even had box’s of .22!

I usually go to the Garland Academy but my son-in-law works in Plano and keeps an eye on that one too. He says they have some 9mm last week, but again it was either steel and aluminum, and prices were same as Garland store.....too high !

And his last report was no .22lr except the same overpriced Norma that Garland had. But we keep both of those pretty well staked out.

Ya but I remember not too long ago it was $17.99 for the white box 100ct. Right before the Chinese flu hit it was $18.99 per 100ct

I still remember $9.99 for a box of 9mm. Every time something like this happens, the ammo prices goes up for any reason, it never goes back down to the price before. Basically a new higher normal price.

The brown box is Remington. A lot of the 9mm ammo is packaged in white generic looking boxes. Blazer and Federal come in plain white packages now and the Remington is in a plain brown box.

Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see 9mm for under 20 cents per round again. The days of 16 cent rounds are long gone..... Right now shopping for ammo is about who's screwing you the least.

Academy in Texarkana has had popular caliber left over ammo, each day, on the shelves over the past two weeks now. That is seemingly a sign of more supply than demand as I see it. I guess all those who only recently started buying guns & ammo finally feel sufficiently stocked up, same as many who have been buying for years now. Of course, I keep buying anyway, just as I have always done. While I am not a hoarder per se, I do not want to be caught unprepared for Armageddon. I suppose that is the result of having lived through the Cold War and because I like one thing about the Boy Scouts of America - their motto - "Be Prepared".

I hope every idiot that’s trying to sell at 10X the price on gunbroker gets stuck with a bunch of ammo they can’t use and can’t sell!

Really; have you actually seen a bunch of sellers trying to sell ammo on Gunbroker at 10X the price - as in the price for which they purchased it? I have seen some folks asking for maybe 1.5 to 2 times the amount at which I have seen ammo available at Academy but have not seen anyone asking 10 times the amount. Not saying they are not out there but that kind of [pricing seems out of this world. Then again, while there are some who set a fixed price on GunBroker, most offerings I have seen are auctions where the buyuers wind up setting the final purchase price.

If someone was actually trying to sell ammunition at 10X the price (whatever you mean by that and I can only assume you mean 10X the going retail price or the going wholesale price) why would you think they would get stuck with it. They could always recoup their initial outlay by lowering their prices to what they paid for it or they could shoot it up.

Are you a socialist or do you support socialism in opposition to the free market system? Or is it you just want something to remain within certain status limitations that are satisfying to you - and only then will you consider it okay - but if it goes outside of your expectations you then consider it as as being wrong because it does not please you? With all due respect, in my opinion, that is truly the liberal way of thinking about everything - wishing bad onto someone who does things differently than the way you think they should be done. It is anti free market, anti free liberty and pro-control of others with whom you do not agree ; all that besides just being a negative and nasty thought on your part.
