Just stopped by my local Academy and picked up a box of Winchester 9mm+p defense rounds and a box of federal .30-30. They had a crap load of 9mm fmj and .40 fmj but they were all either steel or aluminum case. Pretty much your choice of rim fire, .17 up to several flavors of .22lr, mag, WMR and even subsonic rounds for the LR. Bulk Remington in .22lr too. Lots and lots of .223 and .762x39 but all steel case. Some small boxes of .556, a few flavors of .308, .350, .270, .224 val. This is by far the most I’ve seen in a long while.

Kirby Academy has TONS of 5.56! 400 round ammo cans and bulk packs of green tip. I grabbed the last box of 6.5 CM they had, but I was tempted to grab one of the ammo cans too. I think it was $269 for 400 rounds. Not great, but I’ve seen worse.

Unless you really need it right now I would wait. The prices are going down, there is a ton of powder available online lately as well.

I actually found large rifle primers in stock last week. Limit I pack, and they were “match” primers at $8 a pack, but still, I was shocked when I saw them!

Yes, I think we're going back close to a "new normal".

Austin has had it waves come in with plenty remaining on shelves after morning crowds. Unfortunately monarch 9mm although plentiful is 17.49/bx. I'd definitely pay 50 cents more for brass ammo myself. Which has been trickling in too.

I noticed the 400rd ammo boxes of 5.56 too but at over 70 CPR plus tax I'll wait. Last bulk 22 box I bought was 34.99 for Winchester Western. Otherwise that Norma stuff has been everywhere but IME it's not very accurate. I'd take cci sv over it any day.

I just got home from the range. I had some 6.5 CM loads I wanted to test, and I have several boxes of the Norma Whitetail that I’ve never shot before, so I took a box of that out also. The Norma in 6.5 is every bit as accurate as any Hornady I’ve ever shot. I had a 5 shot group at just under 1 MOA at 100 yards.

I'm sure the Norma center-fire ammo is great. After going through at least a dozen types of high end 22 ammo I'm willing to bet you would never make it out of the "rookie" category using that ammo in this competition.

Sorry if my comment offended you. It was meant to be a joke....
