A bullet striking the internal baffle of a suppressor.Okay, at the risk of sounding stupid. What is a baffle strike?
Ooooooo. Thanks! So if the baffle gets struck with the bullet then it won't baffle the noise anymore and get louder with every strike?A bullet striking the internal baffle of a suppressor.
Right I figured the bullet wouldn't have time to stabilize I just wasn't sure what a "baffle strike" was or what exactly it did to the suppressor. Thank y'all for answering my question.Actually a baffle strike would damage the can internally. This can vary from a mild strike to totally destroying the suppressor. The concern listed regarding a strike is due to the short barrel length of the firearm and the possibility the bullet may not be stabilized when leaving the barrel and start to tumble. This is similiar when you have bullets hitting the targe and keyholing on the paper.
