I'm a Gen X kid. I watched Mr Roger's Neighborhood and Sesame Street with my folks growing up. I think I turned out just fine and am probably a better person overall for it.

The problem I see with the melleinals and younger is a morbid sense of entitlement.

I never learned that from wat hing his shows.

Maybe the young generations should have watched it.

Children are generally the product of their parents. That sense of entitlement, along with a general lack of morals is mostly due to the failures of the parents of those children. To try to blame a TV show for this is just silly. Frankly, Mr. Rogers and his TV show were probably better parents than a lot of actual parents in that he actively tried to instil good, strong morals into the children that watched his show.

100% agree. People who say otherwise don't know what they're talking about. I wish there were more decent quality programs on like that today. I'm actually having my two daughters watch Mr Rogers episodes on Amazon. I don't want them raised on mindless garbage like SpongeBob SquarePants

Beat me to it. Had the link copied and ready to paste. He was instrumental in getting.public TV funded.

I've probably watched all of them and didn't realize they were reruns while I was watching them. I'm 37.

My wife brought this to my attention and we are both looking FWD to it.

I intend to source some recordings and make sure my kid(s) see his show regularly.
