well i dont like taking risks also im very new to this. Ive gathered enough info from people and internet to confidently make my AR9 legally.

Nothing wrong with being careful about the assembly, but it's pretty simple. I've built a pistol for myself and helped some friends build theirs. Just stay within the requirements and it's easy.

Basically, the only difference between a rifle and a pistol AR is the shorter length of the pistol barrel and no shoulder stock attached. And you'll need a 9mm receiver (and magazines) and 9mm barrel.

Yes, the caliber doesn't matter. A rifle is a rifle. You can put pretty much any kind of stock or brace you want on it.

Be sure you get a receiver built to use 9mm magazines, as well as the proper 9mm bolt and other "internal" parts.

My advice is to keep reading and make the decision you’re comfortable with or to buy a complete firearm.
