    A good firearms attorney is your best place to seek an opinion from if you are unsure the classification of a firearm you are intending to manufacture.

    Nothing wrong with being careful about the assembly, but it's pretty simple. I've built a pistol for myself and helped some friends build theirs. Just stay within the requirements and it's easy.

    Basically, the only difference between a rifle and a pistol AR is the shorter length of the pistol barrel and no shoulder stock attached. And you'll need a 9mm receiver (and magazines) and 9mm barrel.
