    All of the above is what prompted me to call, text and email him to NOT even attempt to chamber any more of the rounds until I could look at 'em. Ah'll let ya'll know what I find.

    Okay - promised ya'll a follow-up....

    So my buddy comes over yesterday, I quiz him on the loads - he's usin' a 9mm bullet, powder charge is in spec - but the issue is that he misread the OAL spec - he was loadin' JHP like they wuz RN. I pointed out the difference in diameter on the two rounds out 'bout 3/4 of the way toward the tip, an' that's where the problem was - the larger OD of the JHP was preventin' it from chamberin' properly.
    So....all is well...

    Thanks again, guys - I told him next time he gives me load data to make SURE he gives it to me accurately - because I had a half-dozen load manuals out tryin' to figure out what he might have done!

    I am glad that the outcome was something non painful even if it was a little embarrassing. having just started with reloading i have memorized the stats and still go and re-read them.
