I love my 590a1. It's a heavy bastard and with my back and shoulder its frankly painful to mount. Left weak side AC joint issues. The closer to the body the more weight I can lift with that left shoulder. ARs are easier cause it close to the body. The 590 20 inch heavy barrel is further out there.

Anyways I could goto a plain 500 which is lighter or even a Special purpose 88 but the 590 shockwave and a pistol brace is interesting.

So who has one and what are your thoughts.

No brace. Crimson Trace Lasersaddle makes aiming from any position a breeze.
Birds head grip does not transfer energy directly to the hand so no discomfort there.

Fits nicely in a backpack. Completely anonymous.

Thanks. I may have to make a sale or trade in the future.

After Abbott OK'd the sale of the Shockwave, I bought one in 20 gauge. It took a couple of boxes until I got the hang of the grip. I do not have a brace for it, I actually like the birds head setup and the thing stores nicely in one of my hiding spots in my house.

I just dont want to give up a 12 gage. I've had a bunch of shots and the shoulder is better but it's still a pain. Not sure if I want to try surgery.

I'd considered getting the 12 gauge but decided on the 20 for my Shockwave.

Me. Constantly forget about it and its wedged in the very rear of my safe.

Have an SBA3 and an ar stock adapter, forget which one, went through 4 or 5 of them that did what i want (proper comb height, actually fit buffer tubes well, and didnt fall apart after a few rounds)

I think a braced PCC (PCP?) or intermediate caliber pistol is far more practical
