The barrel is a standard M-2 machine gun barrel.
The bolt is removable for loading, like the single shot Barrett rifles.
The elevation and windage are on 5/8" acme screw threads.
Yes we have fired it with standard 50 bmg ammo and had it sighted in at 600 yards before I moved the scope to another rifle.
I only mentioned the blank rounds because the young ones in my family absolutely love shooting it on New Years and July 4th.
