Then you mean a 230gr FMJ for most of us. Checkout Zero Bullets and Montana Gold. They both have competitive retail pricing and are good quality FMJs. Their price reflects that they aren't a plated bullet like Xtreme. If you are going to do plated, Berry's or Accura are good choices.

You specifically want JACKETED bullet? 'Cause if you're willing to be flexible, you'll find much better deals on plated bullets or coated bullets. Use "Lead" loads for the powder of your choice, as these bullets don't have the thick copper cover and aren't recommended for full, jacketed velocities.

Acme Bullets (AcmeBullets.com) are coated and I've found them to work very well in my pistols without leaving residue. Since the coating is very slick, bullets load easy. They work wonderfully for range ammo. In some calibers they have hollowpoints and such. Cheaper than jacketed bullets, less problems with cleaning the barrel like you can have with plain lead.

Berry's Bullets (www.berrysmfg.com) are plated, so they have a copper coat but not as thick as jacketed. They are very high quality, have great service, and the bullets shoot great.

thanks guys. have loaded thousands and thousands of 45 acps of all flavors and now have mostly lead on hand BUT just got a can on a 1911 and was told NOT to use any lead slugs of any kind so am looking for something to throw at gongs and rocks for grins at about 800-850 fps. the jacketed stuff i have loaded is mostly high dollar HPs running past the speed limit for a can and really don't wanna burn up the good stuff.
