I installed an Auto Stop Eliminator and had to take out the cup holder part of the console and there is a wire harness going underneath..what the crap is this for?
If its a wireless charger ..that won't work because you can't get a phone down in the to lay flat.
It has a small box and the center part between the cup holders there is a ring that snaps in there. There is also an FCC number on the part..
my only other guess would be that is what senses the presence of your key fob??

Could not tell you on a GM, but F150s have a similar spot that’s used to program the key...check your owner’s manual.

You have to have keyless ignition. My dually has it. So does the wife’s Lincoln.

It is in the owners manual.

That splain’s it. Mine is an XL/STX 5.0 so it doesnt have that feature.
    Thanks for the insight.
They get many more features on these new trucks and we wont need a house (or be able to afford one) we can live in the truck.

    Amazon Alexa?

Ditto for my 2017 Ford. I put the key fab in the second cup holder and changes can be made to the computer with it (rather changes to the fab). I accidentally put a speed limiter on mine fooling around with the settings :(

Pretty sure you can disable the auto stop/start for red lights on all of them. Just a matter of going through the menus on the dash.

Pretty sure my mom said her new F-150 does it.

Disabling it through the menu only works until you turn the vehicle off. Rinse and repeat.

    That's my understanding anyways.

Permanently disabling it take programming or tuning.
