He had a good run of 88 years. Outlived everyone else he knew. Had metastatic kidney cancer of the brain and lungs and there was no saving his life. Big tumors and many, many little ones spread everywhere. He had a good run except for the last 5 days. Tumor in his brain was bleeding and the pressure killed him. He also had a huge aneurysm on his artery right at his heart. When the doctor saw that years ago he told him to just go home and "make sawdust" as my father liked to build fine furniture from wood. Nothing they could do. With having the cancer the bleed actually saved him a very painful and drawn out death. Friday he woke up and said something was wrong and was confused and barely spoke. Got somewhat better for a day and then just disappeared inside. Died a half day later. I thank God for taking him peacefully it seemed. See you again soon if we aren't locked down. Thanks for the sentiments! He was a retired 21 year Air Force serviceman and several civilian jobs.

Obviously, there is no gun lunch this week.
I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas day!
Our next gun lunch will be Jan 8th, but I'll open a new thread for that and ask the mods to close this one out.
