Nothing new in that, except the 'give me dat' crowd increases exponentially for vote pandering. Know how many food stamp recipients increased under Obama? It wasn't because po folk was hongry, but the program is so corrupt food stamps are a gold mine for the black market. Honestly, no pun. There is a Huge food stamp black market. So many food stamps for cash, booze, you name it..Some call it redistributing income inequality.

So, at one point, pretending we can support all the, ahem, social programs, aka known as welfare for the criminal class, this country is going to implode under the financial strain of these so-called programs or is that fact something you don't recognize or think the horn of cornucopia is endless?

Most garden variety liberals mean well, but depend of their feelings rather than their insight.

What a load of crap. You think you know me? At one time I thought much like you when I was a young man and still had my health. I started working and paying taxes at age sixteen and didn't stop until Parkinson's completely took the wind out of my sails at fifty-one. My symptoms started at age thirty-six and I kept working for fifteen years with the disease. Toward the end it was damned hard to keep going but I fought hard and did it. Even after I could no longer work, I lived four years by decimating my 401K and selling just about everything I had to survive. I didn't ask for a friggin' dime from anyone. When all that ran out I had two choices... die or apply for Social Security Disability. I opted for the latter because I'm not yet ready to step into my grave. You should thank me for spending my every last dime before becoming a sponge. Arrogant? I feel like a low-life piece of shit for sponging off other taxpayers.

You don't know a damned thing about what I think of our First Responders. I have the deepest respect for most of them. Like any other profession, there are some bad people filling those positions just as there are bad doctors, lawyers, judges/justices, airline pilots, and every other walk of life.

You've unjustly and ignorantly insulted me and I'm telling you right now, you'd better think twice before saying crap like that to my face. I may be half dead but I still have some fight left in me.

You infer that I'm a whining pussy who disrespects our First Responders until I cry for help. Firstly, I live far from the city away from any kind of city services. Education? I have two years of college. Granted, that's not much but my chosen profession didn't require higher education. I already knew more than most professors I spoke to when I was sixteen years old. Frankly, a degree would have been a waste as a photographer. In fact, when I applied for a civilian position at Reese AFB (defunct) in 1988, my professional experience was considered equivalent to a Masters Degree as a minimum. Don't tell me I'm 'stoopit'.

Austin, my argument is simply that some people really do need help and not everyone accepting that help is abusing the system. Yes, too many are abusing the system. I never stated otherwise. After the first five minutes of the VP debate tonight I turned the volume up so I can hear at distance and I walked away from the TV. The condescending insincere overly rehearsed opening statements of both candidates is already making me sick.
