Its a Duece and a half... what more to say.

I have not driven it yet without getting into a conversation about it at a stop light, getting gas... its a blast having folks wave and smile when they see you.

    Smooth running 7.8L straight-6 multi-fuel engine

50gal fuel tank (if straight auto gas add 2% motor oil)

4x6 with selectable 6x6. Has locking front hubs for easier driving.

6-10 wheels (currently on 6x 11r20s (plus a spare) but have 6x 9.00r20s that can come with it.

    No leaks

Starts, runs, drives, turns (like a boat) stops like it should

Some rust, but they all have some and there isnt anything "concerning".

Cover is in OK shape, keeps the rain out, but ai need to replace the tiedown bungee.

    2.5t load OFFROAD, 5t ONROAD

A regular Class-C license is all you need to drive it and it drives like the littlest big truck ever. Its easy to drive. (Turning the wheel when stopped is tough, but even a small creep will let it turn. It will fit in a normal parking spot at the grocery store, but the bumper sticks out a bit but not obnoxiously so.

It is EASY to work on and parts are easy to get. Its like working on a tractor, its simple and everything is there and in reach.

Registration is $50/5y as a FORMER MILITARY VEHICLE (uses the pained bumper number, no other LP).

    ******

$10,000 or will consider trade for a CJ5 (prefer late CJ5 (or 6) w/ straight 6) or a nice flat fender.

Especially if trading vehicles I am happy to drive a few hours out from Austin to meet.

I've found a couple of little ol' CJs I'd be happy with and would really like to be able to offer them cash...

There is a vehicle I'm interested in, but (understand understandably he wants cash).

He's asking a bit less than I am... if we could coordinate so I can end up with his vehicle I'd take his asking price or trade you for it.

Also going to list my truck where it will get some wider visibility soon.

    Couple of questions.
Cause it has to get from there to here. Then it aint gonna matter.
What is a highway speed (Cruise if you will).
Miles per gallon or gallons per mile on the beast.
Weight of vehicle in case of trailering it instead of driving it.

With 11.00r20 tires it will hit 61mph at the governor, with 9.00 it is 56mph. That is a 100% duty cycles at redline (2600rpm?) motor from what I've heard. If I'm driving it I did take it because I was in a hurry so I cruise around 55 most of the time.

I don't have good numbers on MPG, but unladen not in hills or mountains word on the street is 10mpg. Its a 50 gallon tank so it will get you there and back most likely.

    13,500 lb plus 6 or 7x 300lb wheel/tires...

I don't think I mentioned it but it has a MASSIVE PTO winch on the front. The drum lock is seized and it should be an easy fix, but I haven't had time to (but have the parts)

It's a lot of fun to drive and I'm not opposed to delivering at all.

Being an enormous JEEP, it can be flat towed, but that would mean you'd need a second duece.

That's a clean truck. I used to buy the M939 5-tons a pair at a time as it cost the same to transport 2. Somebody is going to get a fun ride, just as long as they aren't in a hurry. I used to repaint then with Behr housepaint- they can blend you any exact camo color you need and it is water clean-up. CARC is expensive and harder to come by and a pain to clean up.

I'm thinking around the $9000 would set me up with what I want... make me an offer.

It is a seriously fun truck to drive around and it will put a smile on your face each time to fire it up and hear its straight-6 diesel rumble

This truck screams for a bob-job. Lose the rear axle, bed and wheels. M-105 Cargo trailer for bed and upgrade to new style CTIS wheels off 5-ton. Ultimate prepper truck as it will run on most anything that burns- tri-fuel.

This is your chance to get a known runner with no serious problems for a GREAT deal.

Tell me what you think a good deal is and I'll probably agree. I'd go much less than the $9000 I listed in my last update, like borderline lowball...

These are super easy to work on- quality fasteners, tons of room. Parts are still plentiful from E-Bay, Eastern Surplus , Big Mike’s Motor Pool , Memphis Equip. Every maintenance manual (FM’s, TM’s and LO) is free and available, written for an 18 year old to understand.

Good group of guys over at Steel Soldiers, may want to try posting there.

Gents the duece is going to move to Franklin Texas in the next day or two because I need space in my driveway...

Going to take the CJ2a to my folks place and keep the M35a2 here in Austin until I can sell it.

This is a great candidate for bobbing or taking off the bed and putting a command/comms box (like a m109) on to fit out as to coolest camper/overlander ever
