10/22 M1 Carbine Build

I was bored and noticed that Brownells had M1 Carbine stocks for 10/22's back in stock and decided that I absolutely needed one. Not just simply wanted on, I had to have one. I had a gift card from Bass Pro and trapsed on down and picked up a 10/22 carbine model.

After I received my order from Brownells, which included the M1 Carbine sights for the Ruger, I assembled my treasure. Had a BX trigger from Ruger on the shelf discounted from a previous Ruger shop order and put them together.

Got a chance to shoot it last saturday and the sights were right on at 25 yds.

I like that! My only “wish” would be if the magazine was the same dimensions externally as a .30 cal M1 Carbine (but internally for .22LR) strictly for aesthetics. But that looks fantastic!

Good looking plinker. Don't get bit by the 10/22 bug, before you know it you'll have 6 or 10 all in different configurations and all equally fun to shoot.

Too late TexMex247! Before this one, got a Competition Shop Left Handed version (shoot long guns south paw--left eye dominent). All of my 10/22's get a BX trigger, so I have almost as many stock triggers that they are taking over the trigger locks in the box!!
