The reason I joined the military
John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address inspired children and adults to see the importance of civic action and public service. His historic words, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” challenged every American to contribute in some way to the public good. In this lesson, students learn about a theme in President Kennedy’s inaugural address, civic action, and consider how it applies to their own lives.
I felt HE was going to get us in a WAR. Yup, happened!!! And at the time our armed forces were in bad shape!!

In the summer of 2020, 2 busloads of BLM activists arrived at the edge of a town in NC. They were met by 2 members of local law enforcment AND 24 local residents (shotguns & rifles slung). The deputies said one of them would try to protect them during their protest march.
Only a dozen activists got off the busses and stood at an intersection for 4 hours before getting rides home.

    Were the town’s people vigilantes?

Adequate Law Enforcment: when an anti-gun politician gets warned that if they propose some other nonsense (in violation of their oathe) there’ll be a noose waiting.

For me, “adequate” law enforcement means responsive agencies which follow the law, standard police procedures, keep the peace, and are open to citizen inquiry.

IOW, “adequate” also means non-criminal citizens are reasonably safe.

Quite a few years back, the late Rush Limbaugh hired a mobile TV crew to follow & record the bought-&-paid-for “protestors” across the Nation, to show that they were the same folks “protesting” in various widespread U S Cities.

Last night, I saw a commercial of elder-lies...an old black man and an old white woman...as a couple.

Could such a pair-ment be possible?

    Of course.

    How likely?

Not very...but 'woke' advertisers keep pushing, pushing, pushing into the future...
