‘06 Jeep Liberty passenger window problem

When I roll the window down it goes half way then stops and makes a grinding noise and a cable comes up between the window and window sill. It rolls back up just fine and repeats. Without having taken off the door panel, does anyone have any idea what’s going wrong?

I read it, that’s kinda funny. I’m in Lubbock for the time being and it was sitting in direct sunlight all day with highs in the 100’s

The cable is part of your power window regulator
It’s cheap (~$50) and you can replace it yourself

Yep. Pull that door panel off and you will quickly see the problem.
