Baxter, the numbers look pretty close to some of the others I have seen posted here. Curious as to why it was removed? Was someone afraid it proves that the CV19 isn't as deadly as we were led to believe? Interesting.
Yes, I am not sure that it WAS removed. Twitter likes to play games with posts that refute the progressive agenda, whatever it might be. Factual posts seem to be the most toxic. It may still be there, but (um) slightly demoted so as to be difficult to come across.
It does show that the Covid is less lethal than seasonal flu of recent. Yet I have seen a "medical expert" who said it was 20x as deadly.
The other interesting thing to me. The positivity rate is high, but not as high as they have been showing of recent. It had been running about 4% to 6%. Last few weeks it ramped up to near 20%. I have seen no one explain that so far. Does it mean that it's spreading amongst the herd and that, with the decreasing deaths, is telling us that herd immunity thing is working?
Someone else posted here about going to the gov and demanding proof of the emergency and I think this chart would be a good place to start. I think it's a damn fine idea, too.

Daily deaths had a little blip around July 9, which is probably what got the snowflakes excited. Reached 105 (only 1% of new daily cases). Yesterday back down to 43. Remembering that these numbers are surely inflated. And as a percentage of daily new cases, this is very low. Much lower than the first three months.

And why not? Aren't all medical records under the authority of HIPAA laws?

If I'm incorrect on this, please explain why.
Medical records are covered by HIPAA but HIPAA only applies to what they call covered entities. If a store take your temperature to come in I guess that's technically a medical record but they're not a covered entity and don't have to protect that record.

HIPAA laws have exception for public health. There is no HIPAA violation in receiving that paperwork or in the local government following up to make sure you comply. Tuberculosis patients have been getting that same paperwork for a very long time.

Interesting. This popped up on Twitter, then was gone. Looks legit, but I cannot prove:

At a glance, that’s very similar to the TX DSHS numbers. I was looking at it yesterday and will go back today to drive some points home. It gets really interesting when you layer the demographic data and the Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility data that’s conveniently kept by a differential state agency.

    Interesting.
    She is a trained nurse.
So, while doing work as a nurse, she doesn't wear a mask either, because she is exempt?

Trained as a nurse and working as a nurse are two different things entirely.

Not all working nurses work in a medical facility...there’s a bunch that work from home doing paperwork exercises or in admin roles for insurers and other health services/administration providers.

That article is a really good piece of propaganda though, using her own information to create a perception about her that may very well be entirely false.

Good to have this kind of social pressure, though.

They wear masks to keep droplets off patients, they do nothing to limit transmission of viruses. On the COVID floor nurses have to wear goggles, a mask, a cloth mask over that, a face shield, two gowns and gloves when working with positive patients.

And my comment is still valid.
Her exemption would prevent her from participating.

    TX OMFS,

Do you think it probable that we'll be mandated to wear a mask, stay 6' apart into perpetuity?

That’s the plan in Bexar County until they can force everyone to be a shut in. El Jefe’s goal post is an effective vaccine. Regardless of your position on vaccines, efficacy is somewhat dependent on adoption of the vaccine by the public. So his goalpost could very be until 100% of the population is vaccinated and can prove it.

Good luck with that. No vaccine will ever enter my son’s or my own veins. The rest can wait in line.

Hell will freeze over before I get vaccinated! I got flu shot back in 1996. I ended up in ICU, and damn near died.

But what doesn't kill you, does make you stronger. I have never gotten the flu since 1996, even when people around me get it, I don't.
