Who you are and what you have been through has no bearing on the application of the law.

Sorry you got your feelings hurt when I pointed out the is different from what you think.

I hate seeing gun owners get jammed up in S/D situations, so I try to point them to the penal code.

But so many are hard headed and stuck on stupid, so stupid results is what they get. Zero Phucks Given for them.
I’m not trying to get a law degree I just want to know what I need to do if a mob of rioters show up in my yard and start shit. Call the cops and wait while the thugs kill my dog and tear my yard up? Vandalize my property? **** no, I’m going to drop every last one of them then call the cops.

That statement cannot be supported by the publicly available information.

The guy admitted it on Tucker Carlson the other night.

Rule#1 - Know the penal code

Rule #2 - STFU after an incident.

This guy knew neither, now gets some stupid prizes.

In my part of the county, calling 911 would a waste of time and energy. Last time we had an emergency in my area, and I called 911, it was almost and hour before the first deputy showed up.

I learned a valuable lesson from my father. Better judged by 12, than carried by 6.

    Had not seen that.

the exact timeline is hard to establish. There is often too much reliance on video, which does not capture what happened before the video.

But he seemed to suggest the death threats came after he was out with rifle, which we know he brandished as a result the gate break in. So it appears to be a series of escalations

Fair enough but would you face that crowd with a firearm that you knew was inoperable? “Hey big daddy has a working rifle, I’ll just try and scare them with my noisy cricket!”

I’m damn sure no tactical expert but I’m not gonna knowingly show up with a firearm that inoperable. Based on what I’ve read this is exactly what they did. SMH......

Of course not. They were obviously unprepared to actually defend themselves. Their bluff worked until they were able to secure actual security.

tbe precedent will be if you point guns at unarmed people, you get arrested.

I can easily work around that.
They were two liberal lawyers who have probably never fired those guns before. I bet they are just two of the millions of "first time gun buyers" due to COVID. No idea of proper gun handling at all.

Not that I recall anything about the 2nd Amendment saying only those with proper training had the right to keep and bear arms.

And just curious, how do you know they are liberal lawyers?

Doesn’t a conviction have to occur before a pardon is issued?

Draft dodgers pardoned by Carter were never convicted.

    Nixon was never convicted.

    Mark Rich was never convicted.

I could go on, but these are Federal Pardons, not sure what law is up there at state level.

...not sure what law is up there at state level.
Good reminder to look up the relevant law.

Article IV Section 7. Reprieves, commutations and pardons — limitations on power. — The governor shall have power to grant reprieves, commutations and pardons, after conviction, for all offenses except treason and cases of impeachment, upon such conditions and with such restrictions and limitations as he may deem proper, subject to provisions of law as to the manner of applying for pardons. The power to pardon shall not include the power to parole.

I have been reading up on these people and it is a shame we have to defend them on their 2nd amendment rights. They appear to be real assholes that are constantly in conflict with their neighbors.
