Did I miss the announcement? I was surprised yesterday to learn that Whataburger had been sold to BDT last June. I googled the company and found out they operate under the radar but own controlling interests in companies all over the world.

I mentioned this to a number of people and they had no idea but I saw there was a fair amount of news coverage last June when the deal went through. The Dobsons still own a minority share so they can continue calling it family owned, but everyone I talked to did not believe it and thought Whataburger was still a 100% Texas family business.

Guess I was off sick the day the memo came out

I make a way better burger at home than I've ever had in any eatery, fast food or dine-in anyway. I'm sure we'll wind up eating there occasionally as my wife likes a quickie burger, and she liked the Wataburger she's tried before but my list of places I'd rather not eat at is getting larger than the list of places I want to

Whatameal, with the Whatasize fries and a large Dr. Pepper with lite ice.
Oh yeah, two of them spicy ketchups and some x-tra napkins.

Then I'll be lookin at a little nap.

    Here
My wife and I went to the Subway in Kaufman a couple of days ago and were told that they would not serve us because we were not wearing masks. So we went to Whataburger and had no problems at all.

I never understood why they ask, "Mustard or Mayo?" Are you so cheap you can't give me both? And put the mustard next to the meat with the mayo on the veggie side. I hate it when they make my burger upside down.
