Apparently defending your property from "protesters" is the crime now. But unless they were charged, then one can assume that no crime has occurred?

We have discussed on this forum ad infitum from an LTC perspective that pointing guns at unarmed folks will only get you into trouble. I imagine any charges will be related to that.

    See the 4th Amendment.
    Just to remind everyone:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Another of the "forgotten" Amendments, like the 1st and 2nd...

Under most circumstances, I would most assuredly agree with you.

But this was anything but normal, with an entire group of "protesters" who had broken down a gate to be on private property. So they broke the law, and the homeowners display guns to protect their property, and they are the ones in the wrong?

    Unbelievable.

he could have had the same show of force without pointing guns at everyone in site. His wife even pointed the gun at him.

another tactic would have been to announce a citizens arrest, and state they were being held for transport.

either way zero phucks given for an anti-gun Democrat who you know would be throwing any of us under the bus and not defending our actions if it was us.

I agree, except if they do actually get charged with something which sticks, I think it would be a dangerous precedent.
