Well, now it seems that if you are not following the California mask laws, you could end up shot to death by an ex felon security guard.

Nice to see only the top of society can be licensed as armed security in California.

It will be interesting to see how they handle this. How a security company knowingly hired or only had felon applicants is another story. I’m interested to see if they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I suspect not. That will probably be reserved for whites.

Heh, I'd think in any state in the union at this point, one would need a clean back ground to be a security guard. Having been a licensed "security officer" in Oregon before you must have a clean background. You need a security license to even be hired to watch monitors or work in an alarm call center, let alone actually work as a security guard. For California of all states to either allow this guy to work, or for an employer to skirt the law so badly is astounding yet unsurprising at the same time. Leftist shitholes don't enforce their laws and regulations easily and tend to overlook bad behavior by repeat offenders.

I was surprised to learn that George Floyd, repeat felon, was pulling a security gig for a bar, a job which he apparently had even while he was out pulling off felonies himself. Maybe the cop who killed him knew him professionally outside their mutual work at the bar - we'll probably learn that during the murder trial.

The same state that’s so woke, there’s a measure that’s being voted on right now called ACA5 (with unanimous Democrat support) to strike these words from the state constitution:

“The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group, on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education, or public contracting.”

I had to find out what the heck an ex felon is. Turns out they hire felons for security gigs in that crazy state.

But, reading the story, I did find out Lewis didn't get shot for not wearing a mask; Lewis was challenged about the mask; left; returned and beat some felonious security butt; once security was sufficiently whooped, he turned to leave. Felonious guard had a gun and used it to get the last lick.

Nope - not a good shoot. But Lewis left and returned - so he was not shot over the mask issue.

Iirc California has a law about asking about criminal history, kinda like the one Hillary wanted where they cant even ask till a job offer is made and accepted.

But we all know this story is fake news cause felons cant have guns in California and they ave extensive protections in place to prevent such things.

The news media calls these guys security guards but, in reality, the stores just hire anybody and put them out front. California, like most states, requires background checks before someone can be permitted as a security officer, especially if they are armed. This scumbag was just posted out there at minimum wage to intimidate people into wearing a mask.

You may recall there was a similar incident where a marijuana dispensary had an 18 year old out front as "security" and he ran away from police and pointed a gun at them which resulted in him being shot. He was not a security guard and was in illegal possession of a gun, not to mention the crime of pointing it at the officers. But, the MSM was all over that one while you will have to look hard to find anything on the black on black murder that is the topic of this thread
