This is exactly what every one of us needs be doing - educating. The anti-gunners are doing their best to push false narratives, but when people are given the correct information and the freedom to actually think on their own? That narrative falls to pieces. Quickly.

Some years ago on another forum, I caught a bunch of flak for comments I made about shooting an intruder or invader in my home.

Basically it centered around, I am unbiased against who I would shoot if they invade my home. Age, gender, or race are not considerations that enter the equation for me. One guy popped off, "So you'd shoot a 12 year old little black girl in your home?" Sure would if she busted through one of my doors in the middle of the night! She knew that locked door was wrong to bust through.

The Jack Wilson drill is how I spend the vast majority of my range time anymore. Draw from concealed and place one round in the hat at 17 yards, inside of 6 seconds.

Also work on your weak hand shooting. What if your strong hand or arm get injured? Also practice your instinctive shooting from the hip. Remember, most SD encounters are going to be up close and personal.

Also, I practice at 3, 5, 7 and 10 yards. The vast majority of SD shootings, happen within about 20 feet. There is nothing wrong with practicing at longer distances, (and I encourage it.) to gain better accuracy, and accuracy at longer distances usually translates into better accuracy at closer distances.
