Plenty of MGs can do 600 rounds a minute. So 9/second isn’t really out of the ordinary.
MG42 did 20 rounds/second

Hydraulics more than electrics. Rounds are mechanically primed, not electrically. Beltless ammo feed. Teflon on 1-pound projectiles for reduced heat from friction. All ‘brass’ retained onboard. Approx 3350fps muzzle velocity. They don’t spend much time in the barrel.

The one at Lanark and Austin Hwy. The other end of Lanark had a Mr. M but they didn't have a tube tester.
Oh, when I was a kid we used to go the the Bun and Barrel on Austin Hwy to get brisket.

I was by there not long ago and it looks like they're still operating. When i was a kid that was the only BBQ we knew. In HS a friend and I would go there for the brisket or sausage sandwiches.
