    Okay. Here is the review.

At 100 yards, can easily see 7.62 holes. Have to look a little closer for .223, but is okay even in cloudy conditions.

I seriously doubt this would be acceptable for the small calibers at 200 yards.

Tripod is acceptable, could be a little sturdier. A little movement but not much due to wind.

Given the price, I am okay with the purchase.

Hey Bud, thanks for the review. I looked at that spotting scope also.

If I have time this week I’ll try to shoot some video through my Redfield Rampage 20-60X at 200 yards.

I’ve been happy with it, but I still think .22cal holes will be tough to spot.

I'm going to float an idea by you guys that has worked great for me.

I'll reference the below photo which got huge attention this last week due to the magnificent firearm.
What got seemingly zero attention were the binoculars he's sporting.

    I have a pair.
    Steiner M2080 fixed 20x80mm binos.
They have an integral tripod 1/4" threaded mount on that rod in the center.

They do cost new about twice the price of my Luepold SX-4 15-45x spotting scope.

But, dang, the Steiner's resolving power at 20x is better than the monocular Leupold at 45x.
Mounted on my rock-solid Manfroto video tripod it is amazing.
I think it has a lot to do with using both eyes.
    I can easily see a .17 hole a 200 yards.

    And the versatility!!!
Right now the big Steiners are at my lake place. My son calls them the C.A.T. (C.leavage A.ssessment T.ool).

The Leupold is eye straining and has a very narrow field of view.
The Steiner M2080 is designed for that sniper to look through all day long.
Nothing but he best or our Secret Service men.

I took a friends Swarovski with me hunting once, ad the mirage from the heat made it to where I could not see what I was looking at. Went back to using 10x40 bino's. Those Stieners look nice, but gotta weigh what, 6 pounds? Would be good in non hunting situation.

The Steiners the secret service guy has that I'm praising?

    4.25 lbs.

Pretty sure a $199 Vortex Diamondback would be lighter than that ($4,300)Schmidt & Bender 5-25 PM he's straining to schlep around too! His arms look fatigued, do they?

    Again.
Only the best for our guys protecting POTUS.

Just today I got my tax extension sent and accepted. I want some of my dollars going to gear like that!

    Back on topic.....

Those Steiner 20x binos serve as an exemplary "spotting scope"
Set on my Manfroto tripod right behind the shooter....
I could see my buddy's 6.5CM bullet in flight for the 0.18 second it took to get 200 yards.
    THAT is impressive optics..

ms gamboolgal and I went to the Longshot Shop and Warehouse yesterday, 1-Mar-22, and they demonstrated the Longshot Camera System.
Very simple to sat up and use.
We bought the 300 Yard Longshot Camera System, see screen shot below for the actual costs.
If we want to get on out past 300 yards, we can add a another device that will make the one we got be effective at the longer ranges.
We went on ahead and got the Warranty incase I shoot the dam thing ... ha !
We also got the Tablet to use vs using our iPhones since the screen is so much larger for seeing the Targets. You can use your own Tablet if you already have one.
Will post back after using it with first impressions.

My next purchase will be a camera system.
Technology is cheaper than good glass. And mirage is much less a factor.

Searched the forum, but it seems the latest recommendation thread on spotting scopes is about seven years old.

Any recommendations? Have been using a mini-telescope, but it is a bit unwieldy.

Need pretty high magnification for these old eyes.

Not looking to spend a fortune, maybe up to $400 if necessary.

    I see Bushnell has a 20-60 x 65 for about $260.

Vortex Optics Diamondback 20-60x60 about $400.
personally I like the leupold mark 4 series
